Can I use K&N oil or other gauze oils on my True Flow Filter?
NO.Only True Flow oil can be used. True flow has a tackifier specially formulated to hold to the foam surface. Oils used for gauze filters do not have any additives to prevent them from leaching out of the filter.
Can I use gas or kerosene to clean my filter?
NO. Chemicals such as gas or kerosene will breakdown the foam material and the glue used in manufacturing the filter. You should always use True Flow cleaner or non-caustic cleaners such as Simple Green to clean the filter.
How many cleanings do I get from your kit?
This depends on the size of the filter and how dirty it is. You can expect 2-4 services (cleaning and re-oiling) per kit.
Can I put a True Flow filter on my K&N / Airaid / Volant / etc. system?
YES. We have universal applications to replace the clamp on filters on most intakes.
Will True Flow filters get oil on the mass air flow meter?
NO. True flow filters use a tackifier that bonds to the filter material and will not leach out onto sensors. Make sure to follow the instructions and remove the excess tackifier before installing the new True Flow filter.
